The history of the house goes back to the 16th century. Today's Krugsdorf Castle was the mansion of the estate of the same name owned by the von Eickstedt family from 1579 to 1898. It was rebuilt in its current form between 1919 and 1924 on behalf of Johann Hintze. Since 2004 it has been run by J.A. Fernhout was extensively renovated, which also created the golf course and opened the Schlosshotel Krugsdorf on May 29, 2010.
Since 2021, the castle hotel has been owned by an entrepreneurial family, on whose behalf the attic under the striking gable roof was also renovated, where additional attic rooms have been available since 2024.
Since then, the owners have devoted themselves to the restoration and further development of the entire ensemble. A particular concern for them is gentle and sustainable development that both preserves the historical heritage and makes an active contribution to protecting natural resources and the environment. At the same time, Krugsdorf Castle remains a refuge for people who combine the joy of golf and other activities with the peace and deceleration of an old country estate.
We look forward to welcoming and pampering you as guests in our house soon.
